The hashtag in Vogue now
Now, here is one of the nonsense people put up to defend the nonsense they have already said.
"Here's another problem. When she says #MenAreTrash, she doesn't mean that YOU in your PERSONAL CAPACITY are trash... Unless, of course, you think of your own self as "Men". She is saying that men as an ORGANIZATION/ GROUP/ COLLECTIVE exhibit some really trashy behaviour. For example, is it not A FACT that "men" are the ones raping women? Which other group can you think of that is both theoretically and statistically capable of raping a woman? The people who are doing all these trashy things come from the GROUP called "men".
If you can understand that point then you will understand the narrative that is being told here.
Tumelo Mogale"
Arrant nonsense!!! How do you sit back and expect people to understand that because one or two men did something wrong then it's okay to put up a hashtag and brand them all? The #MenAreTrash hashtag has to be one of the lamest hastags I have ever come across.
How many times have we heard of the women that killed their husbands in their sleep or the ones that cut off their husband's penises, or hey, the women that expose their fellow women's secret because they are jealous. Don't put up a lame hashtag and tell me it's not for "YOU in your PERSONAL CAPACITY" when it boldly has "Men" written on it. Find the name of the person you are directing your hashtags at and call him trash.
This nonsense people do because they think they can is something that really upsets me. I am a Man, saying that Men are Trash in any form or context is derogatory and won't be condoned. Thank you for your well thought-out opinion, but it not so well thought-out after all.
If your men are trash, I am not. Thank you.
